Alumni management software for ICSE and ISC schools

What makes ICSE school alumni networks different?
ICSE and ISC schools, governed by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, include many institutions with long histories and established old-students’ associations. Those associations often already run an annual dinner, a founders’ day reunion and a newsletter, usually through volunteers. Their challenge is less about starting an alumni culture and more about continuity: volunteer committees change every few years, contact lists are held by individuals, and younger alumni do not engage with the channels older alumni prefer.
A portal gives the association and the school a shared, permanent home for the network. The data belongs to the institution rather than to whoever ran the last reunion, and every batch — from the oldest to last year’s ISC class — can be reached through the same system.

What should an ICSE school alumni portal include?
Connect My Alumni bundles the modules an old-students’ association needs, all on one branded site. Each one can be switched on when you are ready.
- Verified alumni directory with batch, house and profession filters and per-field privacy controls
- City and country chapters so alumni in other cities can organise their own meetups
- Events with RSVP, ticketing, waitlists and QR check-in for founders’ day, reunions and dinners
- Committee elections with nominations and voting for the association’s office-bearers
- Donations with UPI and Razorpay for scholarships, heritage restoration or sports facilities
- Mentorship and job board for ISC students and young graduates
- News, success stories and alumni spotlights to keep the newsletter tradition going online
- Photo gallery and memories, including contests for archival photographs
How do we bring older and younger alumni onto one platform?
Older alumni respond to personal invitations from batch-mates and to events with a sense of occasion; younger alumni respond to mobile-friendly sign-up, Google or Apple sign-in and practical value such as internships and mentoring. Run both tracks. Ask each batch representative to invite their batch personally, and at the same time promote the portal to the last five ISC batches with career content and a job board.
The community feed and forums give generations a common space, and success stories let the school celebrate alumni achievements across decades.
What about privacy and the DPDP Act?
Old-student directories often include prominent people who expect discretion. Keep the directory visible only to verified members, let alumni hide their phone number or email from other members, and avoid publishing personal details on the public microsite without consent. These steps also support the school’s obligations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. This page is general guidance; verify current requirements with the official source.

How much does an ICSE alumni portal cost?
Connect My Alumni has published INR pricing: a free Starter plan for up to 100 alumni, with paid plans from ₹11,995/month (billed annually) and a 14-day free trial. Most associations pilot with one or two batches, then upgrade when they need email and WhatsApp campaigns or more admins.

What is a sensible first-year plan?
In the first quarter, import the association’s existing list, set up branding with the school crest and colours, and appoint batch representatives. In the second quarter, use founders’ day or the annual reunion as the launch event and require online RSVP through the portal. In the third quarter, start one or two city chapters where you have clusters of alumni. In the fourth quarter, run the committee election on the platform and a survey asking alumni what they want next year.

Frequently asked questions
Can our old-students’ association run the portal instead of the school?
Yes. Give committee members admin or staff roles. Many schools keep ownership of the account and data while the association manages events, communications and elections.
Can we hold association elections online?
Yes. The committee elections module supports nominations and voting by verified members. Check your association’s bye-laws for any rules about how elections must be conducted.
Can alumni abroad join?
Yes. Alumni anywhere can sign up, and you can create chapters for cities or countries where alumni are clustered.
Is the directory public?
No. The directory is visible only to members you allow, and alumni control the visibility of individual profile fields. The public microsite shows only what you choose to publish.
What does it cost?
There is a free plan for up to 100 alumni; paid plans start at ₹11,995/month (billed annually).
